The OIH Programs

The  Office of International House has been created to offer specialized support for current and incoming international Graduate students. We host seminars, workshops, and programs that are specifically designed to help students to not only get settled in but also to adapting to their new life at Korea University and in Korea.

 
Discussions with KU Alumni
 
The Office of International House invites you to join our [Discussions with KU Alumni Series].
During the seminar, three KU alumni will speak about their experiences of getting a job and working in Korea after graduating from KU Graduate School. Each of the invited speakers will give a short 20 min lecture and the seminar will end with a Q & A session where you get to participate and ask questions.

 Polish Your English Resume and Cover Letter Using AI systems
 
Nowadays, most global companies (about 98.3% ) use ATS (Applicant Tracking System) to screen job applicants' documents. This workshop will cover how you can tailor your resume and cover letter by using the ATS database from global companies like Facebook, Amazon, Google, Apple, etc. Through this workshop, you can make sure that your resume and cover letter will meet the company's needs and requirements and will be ready to beat the bots. 
 
*Students who don't have a resume or cover letter yet are also welcome to attend!

Application for the Mentoring Program are now open!

The program objective is to provide support for individual academic research and student life mentoring for international graduate students (application for classes, supplementary explanation of lecture contents, supervision of learning, guidance on preparation of academic plans and graduation requirement, academic performance feedback, adaptation to Korean and school life, recommendation and explanation of programs in and out of school, etc.).

 Positive Psychology Workshop 
 

Before starting the new semester, the Office of International House wants to invite you to join our Positive Psychology Workshop where you get to not only learn about the science of happiness and wellbeing but also engage in exercises to increase happiness and build resilience.

We have invited our guest speaker from Dubai who is a trained professional in the field so we encourage you to join us and be prepared with a positive mindset for the upcoming semester.

 Virtual International Coffee hour
 

Join us the 7/29 and 7/30 for our two new events. We will host a virtual coffee hour for all international students. The first date will be an informal Meet & Greet where you will be able to meet other students and engage in conversation on casual topics. The second date, has instead a more academic focus. Allowing you to discuss research topics with other students and creating networking opportunities.
