All international students in the KU Graduate School who register for the academic year of 2023 should take “Understanding Korean Laws and Regulations Education” and “Sexual Violence Prevention Education” to apply for foreign student scholarships (Global Leader, Humanities and Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Engineering).

 

2. Who

All international Students who will apply for foreign student scholarships for Spring 2024

※ Scholarship notice for the fall semester will be notified in late November 2023.
※ Scholarship applicants are required to take these courses every semester.
 

3. Available Period to take the courses

   A. Applicants for the Spring semester scholarships: From September to November(Last year) 

   B. Applicants for the Fall semester scholarships: From March to May

 

4. How

    A. Understanding Korean Laws and Regulations Education

        1) Access Kuchive(kuchive.korea.ac.kr) and log in.

        2) Click 학습활동 → 교내비교과 → Search for "Understanding Korean Laws and

            Regulations Education" or "한국법강령교육"

        3) Complete the application → watch the video (takes about 15 minutes) → Submit the assignment (Quiz).

        4) The course is available whenever during the designated period, and no limits.

        ※ Duration of Education: September. 11st ~ November. 30th

    B. Sexual Violence Prevention Education

       1) Human Rights and Gender Equality: available to take from early April 

           (to be opened in early April) on Blackboard. 

       2) In case of freshmen, it is also possible to take the "Human Rights and Gender Equality" 

           in the graduate school's freshman course.

 

5. Confirmation of Course Completion and document

    A. Understanding Korean Laws and Regulations Education 

       KUchive → Program(프로그램) → Program Application Status(프로그램이수현황) 

       → Click on Certificate(증명서)

    ※ Date of issuance: Dec 1st ~ 

    B. Sexual Violence Prevention Education

       1) Human Rights and Gender Equality 

           - After taking the course on Blackboard, enter the completion status directly

          (a) KUPID → Class(수업) → Education Completion Status(교육이수현황) → Capture the screen

          (b) KUPID → Registration/Graduation(학적/졸업) → Dissertation Submission

              Requirements(학위청구논문제출자격요건) → Capture the screen showing the completion of the Human Rights and Gender Equality (HRGE) Education

      2) In case of those students who take the Human Rights and Gender Equality course

         through the graduate school's freshman course, Blackboard → [Step3] 2023 HRGE Education Confirmation course completion screen capture

         * You should submit all certificates and supporting documents with your name or student ID number.
