※ Students must complete payment within the designated registration period. Payment will not be accepted after the registration period.
※ Failure to pay the thesis registration fee will result in ineligibility for thesis evaluation for the 2025 Spring Semester.
※ Once the thesis evaluation application is submitted, cancellation or refund of the thesis registration fee is not permitted.
※ This thesis registration process is unrelated to the extension of visa validity for international students.

A. Payment Instructions for Students Who Have Completed Coursework(Registration for Research Semester)( Research Tuition for Complete Research Students)

Once the thesis evaluation application is finalized and the thesis registration fee is paid, cancellation of the application or refund of the fee will not be permitted, even in cases of withdrawal during the evaluation period.

students registered for a regular semester do not need to complete additional registration.
Eligible Students:
-
Students who have completed coursework(Research Tuition for Complete Research Students)and have applied for thesis evaluation. (Students enrolled in regular semesters are not required to submit additional registration.)

Students who have extended their thesis submission deadline under special conditions(permanent completed research student status) have already completed payment during the regular registration period.

Students who failed to pay the research registration fee during the regular period may still register by paying only the research registration fee.

C. Payment Method

Payment must be made via virtual bank account transfer.
Details:

The thesis registration fee is calculated as 12% of the tuition fee by division.

If a student has already paid the research registration fee (7% of tuition) during the regular registration period, only the remaining 5% must be paid.

If the research registration fee was not paid during the regular period, the student must pay the full 12% thesis registration fee.
-
Students who fully prepaid the thesis registration fee before the 2014 academic year will be subject to KRW 0 registration.
Special Note: KRW 0 (Zero) Registration

Students eligible for KRW 0 registration must bring their invoice to KEB Hana Bank (Korea University Branch or Hana Square Branch) to complete the registration process.

The bill is issued with a negative amount reflecting the previously paid research registration fee (equivalent to 7% of the tuition fee)
-
These students must verify and, if necessary, update their bank account information (bank name and account number) in KUPID.

A separate refund will be processed for the research registration fee (7%) already paid.
Notice
1) Students who have applied for the degree thesis examination and have paid the 7% research tuition during the regular or additional registration period (Post-coursework research students):
→ Check the balance payment bill via the announcement link and pay the remaining 5% of the tuition.
2) Students who have applied for the degree thesis examination but did not pay the 7% research tuition during the regular or additional registration period
→ Check the tuition bill via the kupid and pay 12% of the tuition fee.
3) Students who have completed their coursework and intend to enroll in a Research Semester
→ Check the tuition bill via the kupid and pay 7% of the tuition fee.
4) Students who are currently enrolled and have applied for the degree thesis examination (with active student status):
→ No additional registration is required for students currently enrolled in a regular semester.
