Notices on Examination of Degree Dissertations
 


1. (KU Library Homepage) Uploading the original Dissertation/thesis statement :  Jul. 7(Mon.), 2025 ~ Jul. 16(Wed.), 2025 4:30 PM
 a. Access to the KU Library website(http://library.korea.ac.kr)Research -> Research Tools -> Dissertation Writing Guide/Submission 
  ※학위청구논문 (겉)표지 일자: 2025년 8월, 속표지 일자 : 2025년 4월, 심사완료검인서 : 2025년 6월 
  
※ Please refer to the ’Online submission Manual.
 b. Submit the copyright agreement online
   : For copyright consent, check the online submission screen for consent
 c. The original thesis/dissertation file must include the signature page without the signatures or seals of the committee members. The scanned copy of the signed signature page must be uploaded as a separate file.
 d. Printing the “
confirmation of thesis paper”: After receiving the verification completion SMS/email from the library’s thesis administrator, print the “confirmation of thesis paper” from the thesis submission website.
    ※ The confirmation can be printed 2–3 days after the administrator completes the verification.
 e. It is not possible to revise the full text of the thesis after the upload period for the dissertation has ended
   
※ Corrections to a thesis that has already been submitted to the library are limited to administrative errors such as the name of the applicant, names of the examiners, examination date, and submission date. These corrections are subject to review and approval for validity. (Application for correction to revise the contents of the thesis is not allowed)
 

2. (Department offices) Need to submit the relevant documents: Jul. 7(Mon.), 2025 ~ Jul. 18(Fri.), 2025 4:00 PM
 a. Required Submission Documents
 1) confirmation of thesis paper(학위논문제출확인서)
  ① Submit a "confirmation of thesis paper" to the department office to check whether the Dissertation electronic file is uploaded to the library
  ② You may print out the confirmation letter from the library website when your Dissertation/thesis is uploaded
 2) Confirmation of Thesis Plagiarism Check(논문표절예방 프로그램 검사확인서)
 3) Title page(논문 속표지)
 4) Copy of signature page(인준지 사본)
  ① You may submit the copy of signature page after checking it with original one.
  ② Students keep the original copy of signature page

 b. Verification of Thesis Title Consistency
 1) The title indicated on the Dissertation for Degree Conferment, confirmation of thesis paper, and Confirmation of Thesis Plagiarism Check must be identical.

 2) The thesis title entered in the AMS (Thesis Review Management System) must also match the title of the Dissertation for Degree Conferment.
 
c. Regarding the confirmation of thesis paper
1) The “confirmation of thesis paper” is collected to verify whether the student has uploaded the original dissertation for degree conferment.
2) Due to the abolition of hardcopy thesis submission, the confirmation does not require a separate stamp or signature from the library staff; students must submit the confirmation as printed directly from the library website.

d. Verification of the Original Approval Sheet (Signature Page) by Comparing with the Copy
  1) The student must submit both the original and a Copy of signature page to the college administrative office. After verifying the copy against the original, the office will return the original to the student.
  2) The approval sheet must bear the signatures or seals of all committee members.

e. Storage of Documents Related to the Dissertation for Degree Conferment Review
  1) After verifying the documents submitted by the student, they must be properly stored.
  2) The “Confirmation of Thesis Plagiarism Check” must be filed and stored together with the documents collected at the time of thesis submission for review.

f.  Do not upload a person who has replaced the master's thesis
Guide to the procedure for replacing the master's thesis -> Submission of copies of substitute results to the administration office of the affiliated university(department)

g. In the case of obtaining a master's degree through the thesis substitute system, a copy of the substitute work must be submitted during the upload period, including the cover page and approval sheet (the cover must bear the signatures or seals of all committee members; a separate format is used).
