KUGS OIH(Korea University Graduate School Office of International House) is now start the applications for the Fall 2025 3rd Language Exchange Program.
This is to promote mutual language and cultural exchange between international and Korean graduate students at Korea University.
We encourage interested students to apply as follows:
□ Program Overview
- Team will be matched based on preferred teaching and learning languages
- Teams will engage in weekly self-directed language exchange activities (at least once a week)
- Activity-based scholarships will be awarded upon successful program completion
□ Eligibility: Currently enrolled Korean or international graduate students at Korea University (Seoul Campus)
□ Application Period: September 10 (Wed) ~ 14(Sat), 2025 (23:59 KST)

※ All notifications will be sent via the email address provided in the application. Please use an address you check regularly
□ Matching Results
- Announced on September 18 (Wed.) via email
- Teaching/learning language preferences (1st and 2nd choice)
- Online/Offline preference
※ Team matching may vary depending on the number and nationality of applicants.
※ If a suitable match cannot be found (e.g., no available native speaker of your target language), you may not be assigned to a team.
※ Participants who do not respond or drop out after matching will be ineligible for future Language Exchange Programs.
□ Orientation
- Scheduled: September 22 (Mon), (Exact time TBA)
- Materials will be uploaded to Google Drive
- All participants are requirted to attend/watch the orientation video as it provides essential information about the program..
□ Program Period: September 22 - November 19, 2025
□ Key Deadlines
- Activity Plan Submission: Sep. 26 → via Google Drive
- 1st Report Submission: Oct. 12 → via MS Forms
- Mid-Term Check Event: Oct. 29 – 30 (Choose one session, subject to change)
- Mid-Term Report Submission: Oct. 31 → via GraduateOIH email
- 2nd Report Submission: Nov. 2 → via MS Forms
- Final Report Submission: Nov. 18 → via MS Forms
- Final Presentation Video & PPT Submission: Nov. 19
□ Awards
- Outstanding Award: 300,000KRW(by team)
- Encouragement Award: 200,000KRW (more than 5 teams will be selected)
※ In the case of Best Team selection, the Graduate School Administrative Team will designate the scholarship recipient within each team.
If the designated student is unable to receive the scholarship due to unavoidable circumstances (e.g., withdrawal, bank account issues), the team may request a change of recipient by contacting the administrative team via email.
□ Completion Requirements
- Submissions must include:
1) Team Activity Plan
2) Regular and final reports (total 3)
3) Team mid-term report
4) Final presentation video (3 min team introduction + 1 min speech per member in the learned language) and supporting materials
□ Certificate of Completion
- Application period: Nov. 21-23 (No late applications accepted)

□ Scholarship for Completion(who completed all 25-1, 2, 3round)
- Application period: Nov. 22 – 24 → Email to GraduateOIH@korea.ac.kr
- Eligibility:
1) Participants who completed all three 2025 Language Exchange Programs (1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds)
2) Required documents: 3 completion certificates, applicant info, activity plan, and final presentation PPT
- Amount:
1) Team Leaders: 400,000 KRW
2) Team Members: 300,000 KRW
- Program schedule is subject to change.
- All announcements will be made via email.
- Applicants who previously dropped out without notice, were unresponsive, or received low peer evaluations will be excluded from selection.
- During the program, if a participant is unresponsive, withdraws without notice, or shows poor participation, please report it to: GraduateOIH@korea.ac.kr
