Notice for application for Leave of Absence / Reinstatement 

for Spring 2022

All international students can apply for leave of absence or reinstatement via KU Portal(KUPID) from 

January 3, 2022 AM10:00. (Only international students are applicable.)

1. Who :  Graduate School International Students

2. How to : KUPID(http://portal.korea.ac.kr) → 학적/졸업 → 학적사항 →휴·복학 신청(대학원)

3. Application Period

  1) January 3, 2022 AM 10:00 ~ January 31, PM 16:00

  2) Period for Academic Status Change : February 1, 2022 AM 10:00 ~ February 25, PM 16:00

   * All international students can apply for leave of absence or reinstatement during both 1) ~ 2) 

     period. 

4. Required Documents for Reinstatement 

   : When you apply for Reinstatement on KUPID, please upload ① a copy of passport and 

     ② a copy of bank balance statement. 

     *Proof of Bank Balance: Tuition + Living Costs = USD 20,000 or above

     *A Bank balance statement should be issued within 30 days as of the application submitting date. 

     *If you do not upload those two documents, your application may be rejected.
