Guide to Installing the STATA 19 Statistical Software and Obtaining a License

The Graduate School Innovation Team, Graduate School Innovation Office, is distributing

the STATA 19 statistical software to Korea University members through the 4th Stage BK21 Graduate School Innovation Support Project.

■ Installation Guide

1. On the Korea University KUPID portal homepage, click: Administration → IT Resources → SWApplication.

2. At the bottom of the software usage agreement page, click [Agree].

   (Installation is only available when connected to the Korea University network.)

3. Under Research Support Programs, click [Apply] → [Download] for the installation file.

4. Open the downloaded PDF file and click the [Installation Files and Installation Guide Link].

   (A Korea University Office 365 account is required.)

5. Download the version corresponding to your operating system and check the installation guide and license code provided in the PDF.

■ Important Information

1. Existing licenses will expire on March 1, 2026. Please obtain an updated license through:

   [KUPID Portal → Administration → IT Resources → SWApplication].

  (The new license will be valid until March 1, 2027.)

2. Existing STATA 19 users only need to update their license; reinstallation is not required.

3. Korea University distributes only STATA 19. Users currently using STATA 18 must uninstall it and install STATA 19.
